Mr Konstantinos Evangelou has studied medicine and completed his orthopaedic training in Greece. He has shown special interest for lower limb surgery during his specialist training and has worked with esteemed Greek Orthopaedic Surgeons.
After completion of his specialist training, he has successfully participated in the Greek Board Exam [Specialist qualification Exit Exam in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS equivalent). Entry to the Greek specialist registry for Trauma & Orthopaedics].
He has worked in UK in various educational posts since 2013.
Highlight of his career
- 03/2015- 02/2016: Fellowship training in Hip and Knee surgery in ATOS clinic, Heidelberg, Germany (Scholarship of the Greek Arthroscopic Association). During his fellowship training he has worked with world famous Prof. R Siebold, who is an expert in Soft Tissue Knee Surgery and Prof. F. Thorey, who specialises in Lower Limb Arthoplasty and Hip Arthroscopy. ATOS clinic is a centre of excellence in Lower Limb Surgery, world famous for pioneering and state of the art techniques.
- 03/2016 – 07/2017: Senior Clinical Fellow in Orthopaedic Trauma, Royal London Hospital (Barts and the London NHS Trust), which is one of the busiest Trauma Centres in UK.
- 07/2017-03/2018: Lower Limb Arthroplasty Fellowship in Lincoln County Hospital.
- 03/2018-02/2020: Senior Knee Fellowship in Sports Injuries and Soft Tissue Knee Surgery in Leeds (Chapel Allerton Hospital, Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust), where he received thorough training in arthroscopic techniques.
- 04/2020-08/2021: Senior Arthroplasty Fellowship in Hip and Knee arthroplasty in Reading, Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Trust, where he received thorough training in Total joint Replacements and Revision Surgery.
