Research Experience:

Mr Evangelou has participated in a research program at University of Patras, Greece entitled: “Molecular investigation of the biochemical  mechanisms involved in painful-loosened total hip arthroplasty”. We have finished our primary – pilot experiments and we are at the point of writing a paper. The unpublished data show new insights in the cascade of aseptic loosening regarding microRNA molecules. Our research work has been attributed the honorary grant of the Hellenic Orthopaedic Association in 2011 (Grant after scientific contest 2011 of the Hellenic Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology for the research protocol: “Molecular investigation of the biochemical mechanisms involved in painful-loosened total hip arthroplasty”. Moderator: Prof. P. Megas), and was presented in BOA (2017), EFFORT (2017) and EORS (2014) meetings.
